Today’s entry is dedicated to inks and mixed media technique. The first presented works depicts a backgrounds made with distress inks- in the first case background done only with blending sponge, in the second case distressed with water. As a finishing touches I’ve used punches and stamps from mamaelephant.
The second set of works were done in technique called mixed media. This is a sort of an exercise in using a structural paste made by me- to see it works with inks, adhesives and other craft materials. And I have to admit, that it works pretty good. It does not crumble, break, and it is very flexible. Unfortunately, the downside is, that it poorly grabs inks- they are are much paler than on other media, but other than that, after drying, the paste hold up inks fairly well (unless they will be activated by the water).

Dzisiejszy wpis dedykuję tuszom i technice mixed media. Jako pierwsze prezentuje tła wykonane tuszami distress- w przypadku pierwszym tylko blendowanie gąbką, w przypadku drugim dodatkowo przy użyciu wody i spryskiwacza. Jako wykończenia użyłam wykrojników i stempli z wytwórni mamaelephant.
Drugi zestaw prac to tzw. technika mieszana czyli mixed media. Jest to po prawdzie moja wprawka używania własnoręcznie robionej pasty strukturalnej, jak działa ona wraz z tuszami, klejami i innymi materiałami. I przyznać muszę, że działa całkiem fajnie. Nie kruszy się, nie łamie, jest bardzo elastyczna. Niestety minusem jest to, że słabo łapie tusze- są znacznie bledsze niż na innych mediach, ale poza tym po wysuszeniu, trzymają się dość dobrze ( o ile nie zaktywuje się ich wodą).
